Our history
HOW KIDS THEME BEDS BEGAN
We started this business in early 2012 when we realised that toddlers who are too big for their cots, or were sleeping with their parents, did not have a safe option to move to.
We decided to make a themed toddler size bed, hoping that it would encourage the toddler to leave their parents in peace and also be free to get in and out of their new child safe bed. We went ahead and designed a bed with raised sides and a dip in the middle for little ones to have safety and independence.
Soon we had moms and dads asking for the same designs or new ones but in single or three quarter size kids beds. Thereafter the range began to grow and grow with additional matching furniture items, as parents wanted to create mix and match themed rooms for their little ones.
Over time, we added matching side tables, toy boxes, toy bookself combo's, etc.
We have tried to keep our designs classic and to let parents change the bedding to suit the little ones favourite character at that time.
Our excellent level of workmanship and service has ensured that we have built a happy customer base over the years.

What is unique about our furniture?
The main feature of all our furniture is that it is child safe:

It is custom and handmade and has rounded edges.

It is made with 16mm supawood and covered with child friendly paint.

All our beds are designed in such a way that your child is safe while sleeping, but they are able to get on and off the bed on their own.

The details on the bed are layers of wood, painted and then attached to the bed and not just painted on the actual bed - wheels can actually turn.

Furniture is made per order, we do not produce mass production.

Customers can choose the design and colours of their choice.

Sets of furniture can be purchased over time and customers are guaranteed that the different pieces of furniture will be available and match those previously purchased.
The difference between a Toddler and Single bed
The difference between a single or three quarter bed and a toddler bed is size and the single or three quarter bed may be used indefinitely, whereas the toddler bed must be replaced when the child is about 6 years old.

It is suitable for a child from 1 to 6 years old.

It uses cot bedding and mattress.

It is ideal to move your little one from a cot or your bed.

It is suitable for small areas.
Our single beds are safe for toddlers from 1 year of age because of the raised sides and general child safe design of our beds.
Please note that we do not supply the mattress for any of our beds.
All the mattresses required are readily available from many stores.
The single and three quarter beds use normal mattresses.
The toddler bed uses a large cot mattress found at most major baby wear stockists.
